P/S, Evidently, Malaysians are not as angry as Clare Rewcastle Brown about her shape-shifting allegations as much as Clare Rewcastle Brown herself, all the way out in London.

She is looking so obvious in trying to whip up more anger from the crowd.

This is after she issued a 'warning' against 'agents provocateurs' trying to turn Bersih into a violent affair.

Who really is the most fired up agent provocateur in this crowd? Obviously, that one in yellow nightgown.

Why? Because she now has zero room to fail without having to face the full brunt of English law, should the Malaysian Government succeed in their appeals to the British Courts.

KUALA LUMPUR (BERNAMA), August 30, 2015–

Clare Rewcastle-Brown distorted the truth about issues in Malaysia in an interview by the British-based Sky TV on Saturday night, said Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak.

Communications and Multimedia Minister said that during the interview, the Sarawak Report founder had once again tried to portray herself as a crusader for truth and justice, but that did not change the fact that articles published by her were not backed by real evidence.

“In fact, it is alleged that some of the evidence had been tampered with or doctored. We know that this ‘evidence’ could not have dropped from the sky…so how did she manage to get it?” Salleh queried in a blog post on Sunday.

Salleh said Rewcastle-Brown talked as if Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had already been convicted or indicted of a crime.

He said, as a veteran journalist, Rewcastle-Brown should have stick to the basic principle of law that one is innocent until and unless proven guilty.

“She, however, talks as if the evidence is conclusive and she knows for a fact that the prime minister is guilty just because she says so. Clare is the judge, jury and executioner all in one,” Salleh wrote.

The minister also pointed out that Rewcastle-Brown, during the interview, had purportedly misled the audience by saying that the government had jailed PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on trumped up charges.

“But she did not mention that Anwar refused to take the stand to testify and neither did he summon his dozen or so witnesses to court to support his alibi.

“In fact, Anwar did not even produce an alibi,” Salleh added.

On another point, the minister said, Brown had tried to mislead the audience by saying the opposition pact should have been the government just because they had won more than 50% of the votes in the last election.

“I am surprised that Brown is not aware that in the Westminster parliamentary system, it is the party that wins most number of seats that gets to form the government, and not the party that wins the most number of votes.

“Is this not what happened in the UK during the last two elections as well?” Salleh asked.

He said Brown should instead be more transparent with the details of funding for the Sarawak Report.

The man who claims to be a former Sarawak Report employee has urged the site's founder to reveal her source of funding.

"This weekend, my former boss Clare Rewcastle-Brown did interviews with foreign media about Malaysia. Some think it’s strange that a British woman keeps talking about Malaysia, but I was not surprised," Lester Melanyi said in a statement on Monday.

Melanyi claimed that Sarawak Report founder and editor Rewcastle-Brown received funding from "very powerful people in Malaysia".

"If Clare is such a believer in transparency, she should provide the Sarawak Report accounts and show us where her funding comes from. But she can’t do this. Because if she did, we would find out who her real boss is.

"I am a small man and don’t want to be attacked myself, so I won’t say who (the founder is).

"Documents were fabricated and doctored for money. It is disgusting, but what is more disgusting is those people who get foreigners to do their dirty work. In some countries, it would be treason," he said.

Melanyi, a former Sarawak Tribune senior journalist, claimed to have previously worked for Sarawak Report.

In an attack against his purported former employer, Melanyi alleged that Opposition leaders had conspired with the website on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) issue.

He claimed that almost 90% of the content in a Sarawak Report article on 1MDB had been tampered with.

Lester also claimed to having met Swiss national Xavier Andre Justo, a former executive of PetroSaudi International, who allegedly handed over 10% of the documents related to 1MDB to Rewcastle-Brown.

She responded that Melanyi had never worked for the Sarawak Report. The Sarawak-born Rewcastle-Brown is a British investigative journalist and sister-in-law of former British prime minister Gordon Brown.
