Police will record a statement from former PetroSaudi executive Xavier Andre Justo in Bangkok on December 15.

Justo, who is a Swiss national, was sentenced to three years jail on August 17 after pleading guilty to blackmailing his former employer PetroSaudi International.
He was arrested at his house on Samui Island in the southern province of Surat Thani on June 22 after officials from PetroSaudi filed a complaint that Justo attempted to blackmail the company for 2.5 million Swiss francs with documents stolen from the company.
He was sought after by the Malaysian police to facilitate investigation into issues surrounding 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

MALACCA, (BERNAMA) December 10, 2015–
Malaysian police will record a statement from Xavier Andre Justo, presently detained in Bangkok, Thailand on Tuesday, to facilitate investigations into issues related to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar said the date was fixed by the Thai police.
“A PDRM team headed by Bukit Aman CID deputy director (Investigation/Legal), Amar Singh Ishar Singh will be there to interview Justo,” he told reporters after opening the 27th Malaysia Auxiliary Police Conference here, today.
Also present were Auxiliary Police Association president Baharuddin Othman and Melaka police chief Chuah Ghee Lye.
Justo, 49, was jailed three years by the South Bangkok Criminal Court in Thailand on August 17 for extorting 2.5 million Swiss Franc (RM11 million) from his former employer PetroSaudi using documents stolen from the company.
On December 5, Bernama reported that Justo’s statement on the 1MDB issue was scheduled to be recorded last Tuesday (December 8) but was postponed by the Thai police.
In a separate issue, Khalid said there was a new development on the arrest of members of Islamic State yesterday, and that a statement on the matter would be issued as soon as possible.
“Indeed, there was a new detention yesterday … we will issue a statement when everything is ready. There are certain considerations to be made before we issue a statement because the operation is not over yet,” he said.
Meanwhile, he said there were 27,058 vacancies for auxiliary policemen involving 212 agencies that have been approved nationwide.
He said a review of the regulation pertaining to auxiliary police would be conducted from time to time for the wellbeing of the people and nation.
“Undeniably, the presence of the auxiliary police had helped reduce crime especially road crimes,” he added.
